Ghost

Ghost vs Gong

Gong is a revenue AI platform that records and analyzes calls for revenue teams 912. Ghost is the AI sales coach that knows your product: it helps you answer the buyer's questions while the call is happening. Many teams will want Gong for managers and Ghost for the seller on the call.

Different jobs

Gong captures customer conversations and turns them into insight for reps and managers 9. Its pages describe call review, manager feedback, peer learning and performance trends 12. Gong's 2026 releases add AI agents and role-play rehearsal before calls 13.

Ghost works during the call. It shows the seller answers to technical questions, objection and competitor cues, and coaching to MEDDICC or BANT, drawn from the content you trained it on.

What Gong does that Ghost does not

Gong is the better fit for team-wide work. It keeps a searchable library of recorded calls, gives managers coaching and feedback tools, and tracks trends across reps 12. It offers forecasting and engagement products 13, integrates with Salesforce, HubSpot and Microsoft Dynamics 9, and has a mobile app for listening to calls and submitting forecasts 11.

Ghost has none of those. It is not a meeting recorder, has no team call library, no manager dashboards or scorecards, no conversation analytics across a team, no CRM write-back and no mobile app.

Live help during the call

Ghost's main job is the live call. Ask a question and the answer shows its source.

Gong announced real-time conversation intelligence in 2017 14. Its current pages for account executives describe recording and analyzing calls for review 12, and its FAQ mentions real-time call transcription 9. We did not find current Gong documentation of live answer prompts for reps during a call.

How the call is captured

Gong records through your web conferencing provider. With bot recording, "Gong joins the meeting as a virtual participant and records the call." With native recording on providers such as Zoom, no Gong recorder appears 10.

Ghost has no bot. It listens to your computer's audio, transcribes on your machine and never saves call audio.

Pricing

Gong does not publish prices. It quotes a per-user license plus a platform fee 8.

Ghost is Free, Pro at $19 a month, or Team at $29 per person per month.
