This page describes what the app and the GhostSales service do today. If anything here changes, this page changes first.
Last updated October 25, 2026.
Ghost listens only after you press Start, and stops on its own after 3 hours.
Audio is captured into memory, turned into text on your computer, and never written to disk or sent anywhere.
Ghost hears two streams: your microphone (labeled You) and your computer's audio (labeled with the other side). It tells speakers apart by stream, never by voice.
Speech becomes text on your computer with an open speech model (faster-whisper), whichever AI you pick for answers.
The raw transcript stays on your computer and is deleted after 3 days. Calls you save go to your Library in your Documents folder, encrypted with a key kept in your computer's credential store. After 90 days by default, the full transcript is taken out of a saved call and its summary, notes and grade stay.
On this computer: answers come from a model running on your computer (Ollama). Nothing leaves the computer.
Your own Claude or OpenAI key: Ghost sends text to that provider. That text is the recent transcript, matching passages from what you taught Ghost, the meeting briefing and your question. Never audio.
Ghost AI (Pro): the same text goes through the GhostSales service to Anthropic. GhostSales records only how many tokens were used, never the text.
It stores your account email, sign-in sessions, your plan and billing reference (payments run on Stripe), usage counts, invite codes and, if you choose, your sales role.
It stores no transcripts, call text or audio.
On a Team plan, files you choose to share with your team are stored so teammates' Ghost can learn from them.
Anonymous daily usage counts (no account, nothing said on calls) are on by default and can be turned off in Settings, Privacy.
Ghost's windows are left out of screen sharing and recordings on Mac and Windows. You can turn this off in Settings.
No bot joins your meetings.
Google Calendar: Ghost reads your meetings for prompts and briefings. It adds one notice line to the description of meetings you organize with someone from outside, once and without emailing the guests, and changes nothing else; Settings, Privacy turns that off. Gmail access creates drafts of your follow-up email and never sends.
Sign-in tokens for Google and your CRM are kept in your computer's credential store.
