Many places require consent from everyone on a call before it's transcribed. Ghost doesn't decide what the law requires where you and the people you speak with are, and this page isn't legal advice. It makes giving notice part of how you work.

No bot joins your meeting, so the people on the call won't see Ghost there. If they should know, tell them. Ghost makes that easy.
With Google Calendar connected, Ghost adds this line to the description of upcoming meetings you organize with someone from outside your company: "I use an AI assistant that transcribes our calls for my notes."
Ghost adds it once per meeting, looks a week ahead while it's running, doesn't email the guests about the change, and changes nothing else in the invite.
It's on as soon as Google is connected, during setup or later. Turn it off in Settings, Privacy.
For meetings someone else organizes, or calls without an invite, copy this line from Settings, Privacy and paste it in the meeting chat: "Heads up, I use an AI note assistant on my calls. Happy to turn it off."
Turn on Mic only in Settings, Privacy. Ghost then hears only your microphone, never the other side, and you can type their question into Ask.
Or press Stop. Ghost hears nothing until you press Start, and stops on its own after 3 hours.
Call audio is never saved. Speech becomes text on your computer, and the raw transcript is deleted after 3 days unless you save the call. The Security page has the details.
